Denise “Dee” is a PA native, born and raised in York. Upon graduating from William Penn Senior High School, and attending Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, PA, and Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, Dee served in the US Army. During her military career Dee was stationed throughout Texas (Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio; Fort Hood, Killeen; and the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth). Upon completion of a master’s degree and her honorable discharge, Dee remained in Fort Worth and returned to the Lancaster County area in late 2017.
With Dee’s college and military background in education and organizational leadership she had served in administration and consulting in private Christian schools and local churches as teacher, assistant principal, worship director, campus administrator and team manager and administrator before first joining the EC Center staff as the National Conference and Global Ministries Administrative Assistant. In January 2023, Dee transitioned into the full-time role of Deputy Director of the EC Global Ministries Community.
Dee’s heart for missions and multi-cultural ministry began at an early age having grown up in a multi-ethnic family and going on short-term mission trips with her high school youth group and continuing throughout her college and adult years. She’s led group trips both domestically and internationally, and has been involved in church and Christian school planting.
She is a member of Community EC, Sinking Spring, PA, where she serves on the worship team, is the Director of the Division of Discipleship, and leads Flourish, the Women’s Ministry of CEC.
Dee is honored to serve the missionaries and international church leaders, as well as the Member Care Team; and assist Pastor Ted in helping the local church nurture a global vision and supporting the work of the Kingdom around the globe.
